About Rosie
I'm Rosie, I'm 24 and a current first-year medical student. I took an unconventional path into Medicine, as I did not realise I wanted to become a doctor until I started working as a healthcare support worker.
Since then, I have worked hard to achieve my place at medical school, achieving distinctions across all modules in my access to Medicine course and continue to work hard now, achieving distinctions in all of my essays to date as well as passing my first exam.
I remember feeling like I was not smart enough to study Medicine, and that it was an impossible feat, an achievement reserved for only the most exceptional and privileged members of society. However, I have proven this not to be the case. I firmly believe that anyone can succeed in Medicine with the right motivations and dedication. My experience has inspired me to help others in achieving this goal.
I am not a typical STEM student, in school I was much more interested in the humanities and arts, but this experience helped me greatly in succeeding in my medical school interview with regards to topical ethical issues. I also have 2+ years' experience in the NHS professionally, and a really sound understanding of the current pressures on the health service. Because of this, I feel I would be an excellent interview tutor.

Medical School Interview Tutoring: I will spend time getting to know your personal motivations, interests, strengths and weaknesses so that we can work together to put these across to interviewers in the best light. I will provide you with the background and theory needed to answer questions related to medical hot topics, medical ethics and knowledge of medical school and the NHS. With previous and current NHS experience, I can also give personal insight into the working life of an NHS professional.
MMI Mock: I will provide a mock MMI with immediate verbal feedback, with suggestions for improvements if applicable, as well as a typed feedback notes for you to refer back to.
Personal Statement Advice: I can share advice on how to tailor your personal statement, with tips on how to write in a concise and engaging way. I enjoy writing and I have achieved distinctions in all of my essays/presentations at university so far, as well as achieved an A* in my GCSE English.
