About Anna
I'm a first-year medical student at the University of Oxford, and what drew me to medicine the most was the opportunity to meaningfully interact with people and make a positive impact on their lives. I believe that teaching and supporting young people follows this same mindset. I am friendly and approachable, and have all the patience in the world to explain a concept as many times as needed in order for it to 'click'! I know first-hand how stressful GCSE and A-level preparation can be, and it would be wonderful to be able to help students who are on the journey I was on just last year.

In a typical hour-long session, my main focus would be addressing weak areas where the student feels their understanding is particularly lacking. I would aim to bridge these gaps in their knowledge, in order for the student to not only learn information, but understand it well. Following the student's lead in this way, as well as guiding them through their course specification in order to relate lesson content to tests and exams, is my teaching methodology. My lessons are for any level or age, but having done GCSEs and A-levels fairly recently this would be particularly well-suited to my area of knowledge.
