In my current experience as an A-Level tutor, I tailor lessons based on the topics my students want to cover. I focus on re-explaining difficult concepts in an easily understandable manner and test their knowledge afterwards to ensure they consolidate new information. Recognising that essay plans are crucial for achieving A*, we collaboratively create essay plans, incorporating current affairs examples to demonstrate awareness of recent political affairs. We also discuss the best ways to structure and format essays, time management, and effective revision techniques. This comprehensive approach aims to enhance their academic performance, and I have observed significant progress in several students.
