About Charlotte

I have a passion to teach others and love when students feel more confident and relaxed going into exams. I feel sometimes at school students may not fully understand a topic and may not reach for further help. This is why I believe my tutoring is imperative to their education as I can fill in gaps in their learning. I have significant past experience in tutoring and throughly enjoy every second of it. I believe the student should not feel lectured when they are learning and should feel comfortable in asking questions and getting answers wrong. I feel as I am still a student myself, I will be more approachable and welcoming compared to a more ‘adult’ figure. I also have fresher and more up to date knowledge on what it takes to get good grades in exams as I have only done them recently .

About the lesson

Any level up to KS4 (GCSE/ year11)
Typical length of lesson - 1 hour (can be shortened to 45minutes if this is more effective for the student).
Will require student to set up a Microsoft teams account ( may already have a school account) as that’s where I will set up a call.
Lesson plan ( 2 different methods)
1- Will teach student a topic ( going by their exam board and what they are currently studying, or if they have a specific topic they would like to look over) using a PowerPoint and allow them to write notes and will ask them frequent questions. Then will give them exam style questions to work through and we will go through their answers together ( as soon as the question is completed).
2-If student has an assessment in the near future I can base lessons to be more exam question focused so they are practicing for the test, I can also recap certain topics in the test they may be less confident in.
