About Patrick

I'm Patrick, a 26-year-old native English and Spanish speaker with a passion for languages and people. I'm currently a student myself, so I know better than most what it feels like to sit on the other side of the lesson — and I use that to make sure my teaching is always clear, relatable, and encouraging.

Alongside English and Spanish, I also speak French, so I have real, personal experience of learning and living in multiple languages. I have been fortunate enough to travel widely, and those experiences have shown me just how transformative it is to connect with people in their own language — that is what I want to help my students feel too.

Above all, I care about confidence. My aim is not just to teach you Spanish, but to make sure you leave every lesson feeling more capable than when you arrived. I bring a friendly, relaxed energy to my sessions, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know the people I work with. Whether you are nervous about speaking or simply want to improve, you will always find a supportive and patient tutor in me.

About the lesson

¡Hola! I'm Patrick, a native Spanish speaker offering one-to-one Spanish tutoring for all ages and levels — from complete beginners to those looking to sharpen their fluency.

I believe the fastest route to confidence in a language is through speaking it. My lessons are conversation-first: we get you talking from day one, rather than memorising grammar tables you'll never use in real life. I teach the way language is naturally spoken — with real vocabulary, rhythm, and expression — so you can hold your own whether you're travelling, working, or simply connecting with Spanish speakers in your daily life.

Sessions will be relaxed but purposeful. We'll start by establishing your current level and then build on whatever you need — ordering food, navigating work meetings, chatting with family, or preparing for a trip. I use role-play, real-world scenarios, and targeted correction to build both your accuracy and your confidence. Lessons typically run for 55–60 minutes, giving us enough time to warm up, dig in, and consolidate what you've learnt.

About me:
Spanish is my mother tongue, but I am fully fluent in English (Undergrad in the UK and currently completing the SQE) — which means I can explain why things work the way they do in Spanish in a way that genuinely makes sense to English speakers.

Absolutely everyone — children, teenagers, and adults at any level. Whether you've never said a word of Spanish or you just want to sound less textbook, I'll tailor every lesson to where you are and where you want to go.

I have previous experience working with children (as an English tutor for kids in risk of social exclusion in Madrid, and as a Ski Instructor in Austria). I also have experience teaching conversational Spanish to my French and English friends in London.
