About Alyssa
I have worked as a tutor before and understand that learning is not equal for all people. I am committed to helping those that I can have a good relationship with math and science. Learning is not linear, and is not going to be at the same pace for all people, and I want to make sure that I can create a safe space to those who may find math and science to be more challenging.

I am specialized in algebra and trigonometry, and have tutored in these areas before. I like to start with defining a students goals, and outlining a specific plan to achieve them. Then I would move forward with a students homework, or current work. We would work through problems at the students preferred pace and troubleshoot some alternative methods that may be more beneficial. My practices work best with children between the ages of 8-16.
