About Paul
I am currently undertaking a research PhD in inorganic chemistry focusing on the treatment of contaminated drinking water, having graduated from UL with a First Class Honours in B.Sc. Pharmaceutical and Industrial Chemistry. Upon graduation, I was awarded "best-in-class" based on my QCA, and am noted by college peers for my ability to explain complex topics easily and clearly. I have a wide base of experience in teaching every aspect of chemistry - this includes theoretical concepts, equations, and derivations, as well as practical lab experimentation and application and exam papers.

Having just recently graduated from my undergraduate degree, I have a complete appreciation and understanding of the requirements, sticking points, common issues or questions, and learning outcomes of undergraduate chemistry modules. This understanding is compounded with an excellent teaching aptitude which continues to develop over lab demonstration roles within my PhD program. Typically, I focus on ensuring the student has sufficient background knowledge in the relevant area that I can build on. I take complex ideas and concepts and break them up into bite-size, easily understood pieces of content in approachable language. I've helped multiple peers in my class pass subjects ranging from Process Technology and Thermodynamics to Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry, building on pre-existing knowledge in a thought-provoking, logical manner.
