About Johnny
I promise that any student who has me as their tutor will see a marked improvement in their knowledge of calculus. This is because I was taught by a truly brilliant teacher in high school who (alongside my own effort) enabled me to get a 5 on my AP calculus AB exam. From this very same teacher, I have learned the methods to teach students of my own beginning with myself then branching to my friends and hopefully now to you as well. I am also highly flexible and motivated I will build lesson plans and grade on time always and I will adapt to my students' needs and learning styles. I personally find that regardless if you study engineering or physics the rigor and complexity of studying advanced math is immensely rewarding and helps to build the skills to learn and succeed on your own.

My approach as a tutor is to teach my students conceptual level reasoning above all else, as this knowledge base is critical to understanding math and engineering at a higher level.
A typical lesson plan from me will focus heavily on in-person conversation. Rather than assigning busywork or homework, I have a focus on difficult informative single problems with guided support. For example, having a student attempt to solve a single multi-step complex problem from base principles. This is so my student can become familiar with problem-solving methods and to make the lessons much more memorable and useful.
My lessons are for college students taking calculus 1, or high school students enrolled in pre-calculus or AP calculus AB.
