About Mefodiy

Hi! I'm Mefodiy — a dedicated SAT tutor who scored 1520 on the exam. I’m currently pursuing a future in Finance, and I bring the same level of precision, focus, and discipline to my teaching as I do to my own academic path. I’m a devoted and reliable tutor who genuinely cares about each student’s progress. I understand how challenging the SAT can feel, and my goal is to help you feel calm, confident, and in control on test day. In addition to English, I also speak Russian and Italian, which can be helpful for students who are more comfortable learning or asking questions in those languages. My teaching is thoughtful, structured, and student-focused — you won’t just learn content, you’ll learn how to master the exam with strategies that work.

My Tutoring Approach
As a 1520 SAT scorer, I focus on helping students build the skills, mindset, and test-taking strategies necessary to excel under pressure. I don’t just explain the material — I show you how to think like the test maker, manage your time, and stay calm and sharp on exam day.

Teaching Methods and Techniques
My approach is strategy-based and results-oriented:

I teach pattern recognition, elimination strategies, and time-saving shortcuts.

We break down problems into simple, repeatable steps, so students can apply them confidently during the test.

I focus on why the right answers work and why the wrong ones don’t — this builds test-savvy thinking.

Each 60-minute lesson is designed to maximize impact. We always begin with a diagnostic check-in — either through a quick problem set or reviewing recent work — to identify your vulnerable zones. From there, we build up your core skills, tackle the areas that cost you the most points, and hone the most severe weaknesses until they become strengths.
