About Paul
Hi! My name is Paul. I'm a self taught crochet artist from Seattle, WA. I have been crocheting for over a decade now, and have been on a journey to discover all the things you can do and make with crochet. I'm a caregiver by trade, and picked up crochet to keep my mind and hands busy during downtime. I have many projects under my belt, and have been researching and crocheting endlessly for the past ten years. I've made everything from lace curtains and doilies, to extravagant king size comforters. Right now my favorite technique is mosaic crochet because you can create the most intricate detailed images and patterns with it. But I'm also a big fan of traditional techniques like ripple stitches and granny squares.

These lessons are for anyone who wants to learn to crochet. Ideal for beginners, but also for those intermediate crocheters looking to expand their knowledge and skill. Stuck on a stitch or a pattern? Interested in learning "what else" you can do with crochet? Want support on a difficult project? Lessons will cover all basic and many advanced stitches and techniques. We will start by getting introduced to the tools and mediums, go over the three basic stitches, and creating practice pieces - called swatches - together. Then we'll discuss tension and hook size, go over tips and tricks, explore advanced stitches and techniques, like cables and mosaic crochet, examine color theory and composition, learn to read crochet charts AND patterns, and so much more! Everyone learns at their own pace, that's the real benefit to having personal lessons!
