About Shay
I prefer teaching learners one-to-one so that I can go at the pace of learner, spending as much time as we need practicing a concept until the learner feels confident in their ability to complete the task independently. I also enjoy helping learners find the methodology that works for them.

I begin each lesson by asking what math concept you are currently working on in math at school (feel free to bring your math assignments to our session for support!). If you don't have any assignments that you need help with, I will provide extra practice problems for that concept and we will do those together until you feel confident trying them on your own.
I am also able to informally assess your students' math skills to look for learning gaps. If gaps are identified (either by myself, family members, or teachers at school), we can work together to practice those concepts and close those gaps over time.
