I am a college student who has been writing as a hobby since Elementary School. I have completed three years of advanced English and two years of college level English in Highschool. I have taken multiple creative writing courses, including a short playwriting course with children's author Erin Dealey.

I have always believed that the best way to learn is through doing. Through a consistent cycle of brainstorming, drafting, editing, polishing, and (constructively) criticizing your own writing (and possibly some of mine as well), I will teach students to embrace different forms of writing and practice good writing habits. Instead of learning about writing by simply reading others' works, students will be creating their own work with the idea of improving instead of producing- it's impossible to look at something objectively if you're worrying about a grade after all. We will also go through any written assignments for school and try to apply what we have learned to more academic forms of writing.
