About Kristen
I am a dedicated flute teacher with over 9 years of teaching experience across different educational and professional levels. I guide beginners, intermediate, and advanced students from schools, colleges, and working sectors. My teaching style is clear, encouraging, and goal-focused.
I begin with breathing exercises, embouchure control, tone development, and correct fingering before introducing advanced techniques and expressive elements. Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training to ensure complete musical knowledge. I believe steady practice with proper guidance leads to lasting improvement.
My unique ability is adapting lessons to match each student’s strengths and ambitions. My aim is to help every learner become a confident and expressive flute player.

My approach to teaching flute combines Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity to create a supportive and productive learning environment.
I carefully observe each student’s strengths and challenges. Based on this, I design personalised lesson plans that focus on breath control, tone development, embouchure stability, finger coordination, articulation clarity, and expressive phrasing.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons according to student goals, whether they aim for professional growth, academic exams, or personal enjoyment. I introduce suitable repertoire that challenges and inspires them.
Collaboration makes learning interactive. I encourage open communication and active participation. Students are guided to set realistic goals and track progress regularly.
Positivity motivates continuous improvement. I provide constructive feedback with encouragement, helping students gain confidence in their abilities.
Along with flute, I teach music reading, rhythm counting techniques, theory fundamentals, ear training, and basic performance skills to ensure comprehensive musical education.
