About Grace
I am an experienced tutor, keen to pass on my knowledge and to enable students to enjoy their education as much as I have done.
Through my undergraduate studies and subsequent continuation of fine art practise I have gained a considerable knowledge of creative techniques and ideas. I regularly sell and exhibit my own work, which is mostly oil paintings, as well as trying to attend new classes whenever possible. During an Artist in Residence post at Marlborough College between 2014-15 I developed ways to teach creative practise. I held weekly and standalone class workshops, as well as providing one on one tutorials.
Since 2015 I have worked as a Private Tutor for several students, ranging from five to eighteen years, and requiring support in Art, History of Art, English, English language and Entrance exams (and ad hoc as necessary.) In some situations, I have followed set course books, and at other times I have sourced and created material in response to specific goals or problems. I am well organised and able to keep abreast of multiple deadlines.
I am well experienced in providing an enjoyable environment for students, whilst maintaining a focused direction.
