I am a conversationalist, which means I am fun to talk to as well as caring. If not a scholar, I have been reading the great books since my youth. I know the map of ideas, and enjoy inspiring intellectual depth.

Welcome to Creative Critiquing: Once a teacher, I am a past-master at recognizing patterns and potential in the written word. It is a passion. With that in mind, submit any genre and I will offer constructive criticism; for example, two wishes and a star: two or more things one "wishes" to improve and "stars" for that which stands out as effective:
(concealed information)
Poetry has been defined as existential alchemy. One also traditionally thinks of poetry as the interpretation of music in images. Philosophical definitions aside, though it sounds contradictory, poetry comes from the deeply personal and the universal: "The lyricist needs all the agitations of passion, from the whisper of mere inclination to the roar of madness." (Nietzsche) I would also add, one needs someone to read poetry with the same solemn depth with which it is written. With the joy of writing in mind, share your poetry, or any genre including song-lyric, and I will offer a personal critique to improve your skill, if knowledge of aesthetics; and, more generally, let's talk about the magisterium of art in relation to all, as this is my passion as well.
The other service provided involves the intellectual discussion based on your work, and the Socratic small-talk between you and me which leads to observations, insights, and further inspiration.
