About Darren
Hi there,
I have been a Ontario Certified Secondary School teacher for the past 23 years and have taught all levels of English, Dramatic Arts and Special Education students. I have an English Literature degree from the University of Western Ontario and have been teaching since 1998.

My teaching methodology can be summed up very simply - I believe that effective learning can only happen if there is a mutual respect between teacher and student. No significant learning can occur if there isn't a personal connection or rapport - in short, we don't learn from people we don't like!
Since the outset of Covid-19, I have been helping students maintain and further develop their academic skills in order to elminate the `gaps' that have been created by the pandemic.
My passion is for English Literature but can assist you in a multitude of various academic disciplines related to communication.
