About Koda

My name is Koda, and I’ve been passionate about cosplay and clothing design since I was 14. That gives me 10 years of hands-on experience. I’ve honed my skills in sewing and garment creation, and now I’m excited to share that passion with you. Whether you're new to sewing or looking to improve, I’m here to help you bring your designs to life with confidence and creativity.

About the lesson

I use a combination of demonstration, guided practice, and constructive feedback to enhance learning. First, I demonstrate key techniques, such as stitching, pattern reading, or fabric cutting, providing clear, visual examples. Next, students practice the skills while I provide real-time feedback, offering adjustments and suggestions. I also encourage questions and critical thinking to deepen understanding. Throughout, I focus on building confidence and creativity, allowing students to develop their personal style alongside technical skills. My focus on creative freedom alongside technical skills sets me apart. I not only teach students how to follow patterns but also how to design and modify their own. I provide a nurturing environment where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, allowing students to grow without fear of failure. Additionally, I emphasize immediate, tangible results, so students leave each session with something they’ve created. My lessons are designed for beginners to intermediate-level sewers—whether you're a complete novice or someone with basic skills looking to advance. I also cater to those interested in fashion design, costume creation, or tailoring. Whether you're pursuing a creative hobby, preparing for fashion school, or starting a small business, my lessons are structured to meet your specific needs. Interested?
