About Grant
My connection with the guitar began eight years ago, sparked by an admiration for its expressive range—from gentle melodies to bold improvisation. Over time, playing evolved into a personal language of creativity and reflection. Teaching became my way to pass on that connection—to help others find their own musical identity through exploration and mastery. I teach with patience, passion, and adaptability. My approach blends technical rigor with encouragement, guiding students step by step toward confident performance. Each lesson is crafted to suit the learner’s musical goals—whether preparing for the stage, developing songwriting, or simply enjoying the process of self-expression. Outside of teaching, I continue performing, composing, and collaborating with other artists around the world. For me, the guitar is more than an instrument—it’s a lifelong companion. Sharing that relationship with students and watching them develop their unique sound is the most meaningful part of what I do.

My guitar lessons are immersive journeys into music-making—focused on building skill, creativity, and personal expression. I believe learning guitar should be joyful, challenging, and deeply fulfilling. Each class is designed to balance solid technical foundations with creative exploration, helping students develop their sound while understanding the artistry behind it.
For beginners, I focus on posture, rhythm, and basic chord transitions through engaging songs that keep motivation high. Intermediate learners explore scale patterns, improvisation, and fingerstyle techniques, developing fluency across genres like pop, rock, and blues. Advanced students dive into advanced harmony, stage performance, and composition, refining their technique and musical storytelling.
Lessons also include ear training, sight reading, and songwriting to build complete musicianship. Every session emphasizes creative freedom. My goal is not only to help students play but to think musically—to interpret, compose, and perform with confidence. Guitar becomes a tool for emotional expression, discipline, and lifelong joy.
