About Rena
Students ranging from 4-year-old beginners to high schoolers seeking conservatory spots fill my studio schedule. Honestly, keeping track of such diverse age groups is a complex balancing act that requires constant adjustment. I have spent 6 years teaching while simultaneously performing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
My approach relies on technical foundations like double stops and vibrato. Proficiency in ear training and sight reading helps my pupils excel in ABRSM and Trinity grade exams. Seeing a student finally grasp a difficult bowing technique is the most rewarding part of my work.
