About Raphael

I’m pretty decent at tutoring, at least my students think so. I speak clearly and can articulate abstract ideas, so as to make sense of complex computations, so students can wrap their heads around what we’re doing, I prefer to keep sessions fun, engaging, and interactive, with pop-quizzes, or having the student tutor me instead. Often, I ask the student to work the problem each step so I can spot errors and correct their logic.

About the lesson

Students seem to enjoy my calculus teaching, and the problem solving strategies they learn. I basically memorized the book and have taught it for 15+ years. I can fully explain the calculus notation and the instructions implied, things such as: d, dx, delta, del, integrand, Sigma, and others. I’m excellent with teaching rate laws, Riemann sums, implicit differentiation, integration techniques, synthetic division, identities, word problems, or whatever problem you need help with. Most of my students say they wish I was their professor.
