About Katherine
Music never felt like a career choice until I realized how much I enjoyed dismantling the mechanics of a song for others. Most people assume that great singers are born, but I see the discipline required to build resonance and pitch control. Working with intermediate adults often involves deconstructing bad habits formed over years of amateur practice.
I draw on my BFA in Music Performance to help you navigate the physical demands of singing. It is fascinating to watch someone realize their potential for harmony singing. My teaching style is quite methodical, which appeals to those preparing for grade exams. I find that many students struggle with stage fear more than actual vocal production.

Perhaps you wonder why certain notes feel difficult to hit, but it usually comes down to simple alignment and warm up exercises. My instruction centers on identifying these technical hurdles through systematic drills.
I incorporate specific vocal exercises to improve your resonance and overall tone quality. Homework vocal drills are assigned after every session to maintain your progress. We move through these concepts with patience. Can you hear the difference in your range already?
