About Agata

I am a professional piano teacher from Eastern Europe. I graduted in London at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Academy of Arts. I have been giving piano lessons for over 9 years. I thaught more than 50 students in age between 3-60 years old.

About the lesson

My education from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Academy of Arts along with my experience as a concert pianist, enabled me to become an accomplished teacher of piano and theory who has taught at all levels and age groups.

- Tell me about your qualifications

I graduated with a Bachelor of Music and Licence of Piano Performance at the Academy of Arts and have been stuidying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. As a scholar I have studied piano with Paul Roberts and Urszula Szyrynska.

I have won several prizes in international piano and harpsichord competitions:
2016 - Outstanding Artist award by the Weimar Hochschule fur Musik, Germany
2015 - Finalist diploma in the Music at Chateau d’Aix, France
2014 - I prize winner at the 'Miniatura' Competition, Poland
2012 - II prize in the I. J. Paderewski VIII National Piano Competition in Piotrkow Trybunalski, Poland
2011 - III prize in the J.S.Bach XX International Piano Competition in Gorzow Wielkopolski, Poland
2010 - Finalist diploma in the National Audition for Piano Class in Warsaw, Poland
2009 - Laureate in the Steinway Piano Competition, Berlin, Germany
2008 - Grand Prix in the Concours Ile-de-France, Paris, France

I have performed concerts internationally in the Czech Republic, France, Netherlands, Germany, Finland and Poland and in the United Kingdom at venues such as Royal Albert Hall, Huddersfield Town Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Victoria and Albert Museum, Milton Court, Bridgewater Hall, Barbican Hall, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and St Mary Abbots Parish Church. In addition to my solo performances I have played with orchestras, string quartets, duos, trios and choirs.

I have attended many music workshops and masterclasses which gave me the opportunity to work with professors from all over the world (J.Fialkowska, R. O'hora, P. Lidiard, N. Immelman, S. Rattle, K. Popowa-Zydron).

- How much do you charge?

£25 - 45 minute lesson
£30 - 1 hour

- Where do you teach?

I teach my students at my studio on Old Rutherglen Road, Gorbals. I have got a great teaching environment with comfortable place for parents to sit in the lesson if they wish. I'm also happy to travel to students' homes depending on the distance and my availability. Please contact me if you wish to arrange the first lesson.

- When are you available?

I am available to teach on a flexible basis with availability during the day, evenings and weekends.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I have been teaching all ages from the youngest student at the age of 3 to school students and adults. I am happy to teach all ages and standards, and make a plan individually for each student.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

Piano Grades 1-8 (ABRSM), DipABRSM, Music Theory Grades 1-8 (ABRSM), Music GSCE, Music A-Level
