About Nile
I’m an electric guitar tutor and a practicing musician who plays shows/festivals solo/and in bands. My music normally leans towards folk, blues, death metal, dance and jazz but I’m well familiar in many genres. Have mainly trained classically however expanded while playing with other people giving me experience in playing other genres such as rock, hard rock, indie, folk, psychedelic, metal, black/death/doom metal, blues, jazz, punk, pop, reggae, RnB and math rock. If any of these are a fit for you I’d be more than happy to set up a short introductory lesson.
I've taught for two years and had many students of different levels/ages from (8-30).

I can teach people who play for passion or who want to take a grade exam. My lessons will normally follow a warm-up with scales and/or playing a song together. Then I will go over one of the following subjects.
The Basics - (chords scales, theory, picking, finger-style, fretting and other playing techniques) these I believe are important to give the student a solid footing to stand on when approaching more advance playing.
Learning Your Favourite Songs - I teach students how to explore their own style and find their passion in guitar because I believe in taking into consideration the students goals of playing.
Song-writing/Production - I teach songs the student wants to learn as well as song-writing, song structuring, band ensembles, jamming, producing songs on music software and playing by ear.
Theory – I teach students music theory if they desire too. It does help with playing but isn’t necessary for some.
Improvising – Learning how to jam I believe is very important to help the student to just play whatever, whenever. Tapping into their intuition and not having to think about what they are playing. Playing music by ear is a great talent that will help them in most music situations.
Reading Tab/Notes – I can also teach you how to read music (tab or notation). I believe it’s important to at least learn tab even if they are good at picking things up by ear.
My lessons are aimed for beginner to intermediate players. They can vary from the passion players (who i will teach their favourite songs/genres) and the grade players (who I willwork with them towards an exam).
