About Armie

Hi there! I’m a passionate math and science tutor dedicated to making tough concepts clear, simple, and stress-free for young learners.

What I Offer:

Subjects: Elementary Math, Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, and General Science.

Levels: Elementary, Middle School, and High School.

Goals: Homework help, test prep, closing learning gaps, and building long-term confidence.

About the lesson

Teaching Method & Techniques
I focus on building conceptual understanding rather than simple memorization. Math and science often feel intimidating when taught through rigid formulas, so I use a structured, hands-on approach:

I demonstrate a concept, solve a problem together with the student, and then guide them as they complete one independently to build confidence.

Visual & Practical Explanations: I break down abstract ideas (like algebraic equations or scientific processes) using real-world examples, visual aids, and step-by-step logic.

Interactive Problem-Solving: I encourage students to talk through their reasoning out loud, which helps identify specific gaps in understanding immediately.

A Typical Lesson Plan (60 Minutes)

First 5–10 Mins: Quick review of previous concepts or a warm-up problem to check retention.

Next 15–20 Mins: Core concept introduction using real-world analogies and guided examples.

Next 20–25 Mins: Interactive practice where the student takes the lead on solving problems, with real-time feedback and guidance.

Final 5 Mins: Recap of key takeaways, Q&A, and setting light practice goals for the next session.

What Sets Me Apart

Patience & Adaptability: Every student learns differently. I adjust my pacing, tone, and explanation style based on how the student absorbs information best.

Confidence Building: I treat mistakes as essential learning tools rather than failures, creating a safe, encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions.

Structured Progress Tracking: I keep sessions organized so parents and students can see clear, measurable improvement over time.

Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are tailored for Elementary, Middle School, and High School students:

Subjects: Elementary Math, Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, and General Science (Earth Science, Life Science, Introductory Chemistry/Physics concepts).

Levels: Beginner to Intermediate.

Specificities: Ideal for students needing homework help, exam preparation, foundation strengthening, or those who struggle with math/science and need a supportive tutor to rebuild their confidence.
