About Issac
Through my college career, I studied as a dual major in Computer Science and Information Technology & Web Sciences. I have a lot of experience developing software and websites. I have also worked for financial firms developing for trading platforms. In regards to teaching math, during high school, I had a lot of focus in STEM learning and was one of few students to take the AMC 12 test and passed, being allowed to take AIME. I have previously taught core elementary math for elementary students and taught Scratch, Python, and Java for elementary and middle school students. I currently teach enrichment courses for students in a classroom setting for engineering and computer science.

I have had the benefit of working both professionally as a software developer and teaching in a classroom setting/ tutoring. I believe that my technical experience backs teaching the necessary skills to succeed and I have learned through teaching how to engage with students. I think that STEM should always be fun and teaches students how to think critically. My prior experiences teaching have taught me how to gamify learning and make it more engaging for students. I am looking to teach students in grades 1-8 as most of my teaching experience is in this age group. While teaching, I always try to incorporate interests/hobbies of students to increase engagement.
