About Ezra
As aforementioned, I am a rising senior at Wesleyan University studying computer science and music.
As a tutor, I value critical thinking and engagement to enable my students to problem-solve on their own, a skill that is useful beyond mathematics. Because of my background in music, I am good at finding creative ways to cement my students' understanding of the material, as well as develop their own creative problem-solving skills.
I have worked with students of all educational backgrounds and learning skills, and will always tailor my teaching to suit the individual learning needs of my students. Additionally, while I always remain professional, I try to keep my lessons lighthearted so that my students can feel comfortable and relaxed!

Hi! My name is Ezra, and I am a rising senior studying computer science and music at Wesleyan University. Due to my diverse academic background, I have a creative approach to learning, and I excel at finding individualized ways to understand difficult concepts in mathematics.
My goal with all my students is to provide them with a structured approach to overcoming learning obstacles by developing their fundamental technical skills and critical-thinking abilities. Thus, my lessons are NOT lecture-based, but instead actively engage with my students to prompt their understanding. Teaching this way enables my students to think on their feet, which vastly improves their test-taking and future learning.
I offer lessons in math at any level from K-12. Subjects include:

I had to take Calc I for my major and was really struggling. I performed poorly in the first midterm so went to Ezra for help. He was really attentive and patient, explaining tricky ideas in a way that was easy to understand. I managed to get As on all subsequent midterms and problem sets, which wouldn’t have been possible without Ezra’s help. He never made me feel bad for finding math difficult and was always very kind. I really recommend Ezra as a tutor, and would definitely go to him again for any math problems in the future!
