Hi, I'm Kathleen! I am a Computer Science Engineering graduate from the University of Notre Dame and a Computing & Applied Mathematics graduate from Saint Mary's College.
My approach as a tutor is to help students understand concepts rather than simply memorize procedures. I break difficult topics into manageable steps, encourage questions, and adapt my teaching style to each student's learning needs. During lessons, I typically review previous material, work through examples together, and then guide students through practice problems until they feel confident solving them independently.
What sets me apart is my experience tutoring both college-level mathematics and younger students learning coding and problem-solving skills. I have tutored all levels of calculus and mentored students in computer science, allowing me to explain complex ideas clearly and patiently.
