About Rob
I studied at the Royal College of Music (London) as a double major in piano and composition, where I graduated with first-class honours. While I was a student there, I also won the Contemporary Music prize for both piano performance and composition - although I play a wide range of traditional repertoire too. I currently work at the Royal College of Music as a collaborative pianist and teach with their Teaching Service. I'm currently working on several commissions and also perform as a concertising pianist. This year I performed at the Sydney Opera House as well as throughout the UK. Alongside, my performance and composition work, I teach students in various styles, and of all ages and abilities!

I'm a patient but enthusiastic teacher of all levels and ages, with years of experience in composition, piano and theory teaching. I have extensive experience tutoring ABRSM and other exam boards's theory.
I aim to provide advice and guidance based on your musical goals and styles. I like to get to know each of my students individually and personally so that I can support them to the best of their abilities. I hope to give each student the skills and techniques for further individual learning regardless of whether they have one lesson, or learn for years. In-person lessons are usually 60 minutes and an online lesson can be anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, and I have taught students from beginner to tertiary standard.

Rob is a fantastic and engaging piano teacher. I've had lessons with him for about a year and I always look forward to our lessons and his concerts. He is extremely knowledgable about many kinds of music and ways of playing the instrument.
I've learnt piano from Rob for over two years now, and he has always been incredibly kind and enthusiastic in our lessons. He has helped me with all kinds of repertoire and greatly improved my technical abilities. Not to mention he is a fantastic performer too!
I have online piano lessons with Rob and he is very patient with even with a low level student. I enjoy playing the piano with him and he has taught me ideas to relax and play better.
Amazingly detailed teacher, and a very kind and reliable musician. I would highly recommend Rob
Rob has taught me piano for 2 years and he has been very understanding with me and my personal schedules. I've improved very much with Rob's guidance on the piano.
