About Wasib
I’m a Compliance Specialist and Solicitor in Training with a strong academic background across Politics, Law and the social sciences. I completed my undergraduate degree with a focus on Politics, followed by 2 Master’s degrees in Law.
My academic and professional background has given me a broad understanding of political systems, society, public policy, law, institutions and the way these subjects connect with one another. I provide lessons in Politics, History, Geography and Sociology, helping students understand key concepts, develop strong arguments and improve their ability to analyse and evaluate information.
I also have previous experience tutoring and teaching students and enjoy adapting my approach to different learning styles and abilities. Whether you're preparing for university or A-Levels, working on essays, revising for exams or simply want to strengthen your understanding of a subject, I aim to make lessons clear, engaging and genuinely useful. My lessons focus not just on memorising facts, but on understanding why things happen, how different ideas connect, and how to construct strong answers and arguments.
I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive and tailored to each student's goals, whether you're preparing for an exam, working on an essay, or simply want to understand the Humanities in greater depth :)

My lessons are personalised around your subject, level and goals. Whether you're preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels or university, we'll focus on the areas where you need the most support. I can help with:
- Politics: political ideologies, UK politics, government, institutions, political theory and current affairs, political philosophy, political anthropology
- History: understanding historical events, causes and consequences, source analysis and essay technique, UK, South Asian, West Asian, European and American history
- Geography: physical and human geography, case studies, cartography, geographical processes and exam technique
- Sociology: sociological theories, key thinkers, social institutions, contemporary issues and essay writing
For essay-based subjects, we'll work on argument, structure, evidence, analysis and evaluation, so you can move beyond simply describing what you know.
Lessons can include explaining difficult topics, working through questions, practising essays, reviewing your existing work, exam preparation and developing effective revision strategies. I want you to leave each lesson feeling more confident, more knowledgeable and better equipped to tackle questions independently :)
