About Kodi
I come from a background in trauma-informed care and have a certificate in Human Services Advocacy. This means that I appraoch teaching from the perspective of caring for the whole person, and meeting each student exactly where they're at. I have a great ability to connect with all sorts of different people, so if you or your student have any special needs, or a different-than-usual learning style, we might just be the perfect fit.

Hi, my name is Kodi (he/him). I am a tutor who loves to work with students of all ages. I'm possitive, encouraging, and fun, while also being deeply motivated to learn as much as we possibly can together.
Lessons with me start by sitting down together and checking in on how the week has gone, what went well, and where you still need help. After checking in we'll dive right into material and work together to grasp the deepest understanding possible of whatever we are learning. My teaching style includes dialogue between us, lots of real-time practice, collaboration, and neat little tips & tricks for remembering the details. I keep my lessons engaging and creative.
SUBJECT DETAILS
- English/Reading/Writing for all grade levels, including college. I specialize in creative writings & essay help.
- Spanish 1, 2, & 3. I spent time living in Central America so I speak the language quite fluently.
- Music lessons -- I come to you! All you need is your instrument. I am a highly skilled classical cello player who loves to teach students from begining to intermediate orchestral levels. Beginging lessons on guitar also available.
- Math for elementary school grades
- Sciences, history, & geography for elementary & middle school.
- Art for all ages. I teach drawing, painting, and more. Art is a great passion of mine and to teach it is my honor.
I have over 3 years experience working with children from preschool through 5th grade, and 1 year experience working with adults and adolescent students.
