About Salau

With over 15 years of dedicated experience supporting individuals with special needs, including 12+ years embedded within mainstream schools, I bring deep practical and strategic insight. As a seasoned SEN Coordinator and Consultant for multiple schools, I specialize in developing inclusive practices and empowering teaching staff. Complementing this, I provide high-impact home therapy, tailoring interventions to individual contexts. My approach synthesizes advanced skills acquired through extensive training both locally and internationally, consistently yielding documented positive outcomes. I excel at creating seamless bridges between personalized therapeutic goals, effective IEPs, and the demands of the standard curriculum, ensuring holistic progress for every learner.

About the lesson

I collaborate closely with learners, families, teachers, and specialists to deeply understand each individual's strengths, challenges, aspirations, and learning style. Based on comprehensive assessments, we co-create a tailored IEP featuring specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals. Crucially, I ensure these goals integrate seamlessly with the existing school curriculum. This involves modifying content delivery (using visual supports, AAC, multi-sensory materials), scaffolding instruction, adapting assignments, incorporating assistive technology, and differentiating activities within classroom lessons. Regular progress monitoring and flexible adjustments ensure the IEP remains effective, enabling meaningful participation and achievement within the standard educational framework.
