About Jesús

JESÚS LABARTA was born in Zaragoza (Spain) and has lived between Lisbon and Trafaria (Portugal) since 1998. He has a degree in Management and a degree in Theater. He is a certified Spanish language teacher and has worked for several educational institutions. Since 2012, it has promoted personalized teaching through private tutoring sessions, guaranteeing cordial and attentive communication, "de tú a tú". He is also a voice actor for TV, radio and advertising.

About the lesson

PRESENTATION (1/3)

As a native and certified tutor, I privilege personalization, dialogue and assertiveness in communication. Training sessions are held online, by videoconference, where a friendly environment is sought that enhances confidence and motivation in learning. The contents are defined together to meet specific objectives, which may include preparation for DELE or SIELE certification exams.

THE METHODOLOGY (2/3)

To communicate is to share what there is in common when desiring to establish a relationship; that is, it allows developing empathy between people and things.

For starters, I provide an exercise manual (in digital format. I recommend printing it out so you can scribble and take notes at will). This manual is decided in common, after a first session in which we can better establish the learning objectives.

You can count on my motivation and enthusiasm to encourage your commitment, in addition to new materials (more exercise books, books, videos, etc.) that I will provide you depending on your progress and other interests you may have.

THE FORMAT AND DURATION (3/3)

The sessions, held online through the videoconferencing platform ZOOM, last 1h30'. Normally, language classes usually last only 1 hour, but I consider that the ideal duration is 1 and a half hours, because this way you can more easily get into the ideal state for learning, without getting tired of an excessive duration. .

The schedule of the sessions is established in advance and adapted to our availability, recommending a regular weekly frequency. In a first phase, I recommend 2 sessions per week; it can also be just one, especially as a way of monitoring and maintaining the level; or up to three sessions for intensive learning needs.

In any case, we must remember that, as in sports training, rest is also important to establish new knowledge, in addition to recommending autonomous practice.
