About Eira
I’m a guitar tutor with over 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering, focusing on Guitar. My true love is improvisation, particularly in jazz and blues, where creativity and technique meet. I help students master modal scales, arpeggios, dominant seventh theory, and bebop phrasing while developing a personal musical voice.
Lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging, and goal-oriented, suitable for school students, hobbyists, and professionals. I’ve guided intermediate and advanced players, including those preparing for professional gigs, to strengthen both skill and confidence. My teaching balances theory, technique, and creativity for meaningful musical growth.
Improvisation is a conversation with the instrument, full of spontaneity and expression. I focus on helping students explore ideas, refine phrasing, and discover their own style. Let’s begin this journey together and unlock the full potential of your guitar playing.

My teaching approach is focused on systematic growth in music reading. I cover tablature, standard notation, rhythm exercises, and sight-reading. Lessons are structured to build both confidence and fluency over time.
I help “The Classical Purist” and “The Jazz Explorer” read music efficiently, connecting notation to performance. We practice note recognition, timing, phrasing, and rhythm in context. Every exercise is designed to reinforce reading while keeping lessons engaging.
Students learn to read chords, melodies, and rhythms confidently. Sight-reading practice is included regularly to develop independence. I also emphasize interpreting music with musicality and expression.
The goal is to make music reading practical, fun, and accessible. Together, we unlock the world of written music on guitar.
