I work to create instruction that is just right for every individual and have been tutoring students to become excellent readers for over 20 years.

Read Right is designed to be a positive experience for students whatever their current ability.
Students experience success in reading several times every session from the very beginning. Students alternate reading silently and aloud with tutor and receive coaching feedback in the moment as they read.
We start with less complex text to keep the work comfortable and experiences of excellent frequent and gradually work up to more complex text.
Sessions are 55 minutes with a recommended minimum of 2 sessions per week for progress.
20 minutes per day of independent reading between sessions is also recommended.
Other services offered are test prep and writing coaching, as well as general literacy tutoring to accompany current coursework of students.
