About Justin
I am an EFL Instructor who is currently studying a Master's degree in TESOL Methodology at the University of Stirling in Scotland, UK. Prior to grad school, I graduated Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC with a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and a Certificate in TESOL Linguistics.
I was born and raised in Vancouver. To this date, I have taught English for 10 years. These experiences include private tutoring, teaching at an elementary school in South Korea, teaching at VGC International College in Downtown Vancouver, and worked at a municipal board of education in Japan.

Learning a language can be broken up into four major parts: reading, listening, speaking, writing. Thus, lessons usually focus on one or two parts. The first lesson is free so that I can assess the student's level and also find areas that need improvement. This free lesson also allows the student to tell me what they would like to work on, allowing me to cater lessons to them. I will always work with the student to produce a curriculum that helps them improve their skills. I will always have a lesson plan and material to use, however bringing your own material is definitely welcome!
I have taught students of different ages and skill levels. I always build lessons to create a fun and engaging learning environment that promotes learning the form, meaning, and use of the English language. As language is nothing without communication, and vice versa, using language is the most important aspect of learning, which is what we will focus most of our attention on!
