About Jon
Hello! My name is Jon, and teaching is not only a job for me, but one of my biggest life passions. After graduating with honors and a double major in Media and Cultural Studies and French and Francophone Studies, I went on to earn my Master's in Fine Arts in Screenwriting and Directing from Columbia University in New York. As somebody who has both written dissertation-length research papers as well as feature-length screenplays, I have a unique perspective that I bring into the classroom.
My teaching style can best be described as direct, empathetic, and engaging. I look forward to working with students of all ages, skill levels, and neurodivergencies.

Using my experience as a graduate teaching assistant and professor, I will craft a custom lesson plan based on your learning needs and goals. For younger students, these lesson plans will be discussed and approved in consultation with parents. Material covered in each session as well as session frequency will vary depending on the package chosen and the student's needs.
