About Yeison

I am a dedicated and experienced language teacher, as well as a devoted father and son. I have been teaching English in Colombia for over 20 years, and have experience working with students of all ages and proficiency levels. There in Colombia, I work at a university, a public school, and a language school. I am currently living and teaching at a school in the UK as part of a cultural exchange language program. I love to learn and share my knowledge, experience, and time. I love spending with my family, playing sports, watching movies, or just hanging around.

I was born and raised in Colombia and I have lived and worked in Bogota, Colombia, for the last 23 years. I love cooking, dancing, doing sports, working, reading, and much more. I love sharing my time with others, speaking, and exchanging ideas about any topic. Travelling and meeting people and places is just what I mostly enjoy about life!

About the lesson

I always aim for excellence in everything I do, and learning a language is no exception. The key is to comprehend and embrace the culture of the target language. Once you do that, immersing yourself in the language can help you pick it up quickly. The approach I follow depends on your goals, whether it's to improve your writing, reading, or listening skills, to expand your vocabulary, or to prepare you for an international exam or GCSE. The results you achieve are what matters the most. As a teacher, I strive to engage my students in the learning process by asking them questions to assess their understanding and motivating them to speak through the use of multimodal resources. I can adjust my teaching style and curriculum to cater to individuals of all ages, with varying needs and interests, to effectively teach them Spanish.

I offer lessons that cater to learners of all ages, whether it be for individuals or groups. Each lesson lasts for an hour, but I can customize it to match your specific needs. The lessons are divided into topics and further categorized into skills such as speaking, listening, and writing. However, if you prefer, we can focus on a specific topic or work on GCSE level exams. I am very flexible and can adjust my teaching style to meet your requirements.
