About Hansika
As a mentor, I prefer to figure out what subjects the student is having trouble with and work from there. I enjoy seeing their work, so I don't have them complete assignments in a way that differs from what the instructor has requested. I answer any questions the student may have and assures them that it is fine to ask questions. Children learn in a variety of ways, I believe. I enjoys learning about the child's strengths and weaknesses so that I can tailor my lessons to their learning style. My ultimate aim is to ensure that the child not only understands but also can apply the material in the real world.
My teaching style varies depending on the student. I use my teaching experience and previous knowledge to teach the kids. I go through problems and lessons step by step very slowly so the kids can understand. Sometimes kids learn better with colors, so I incorporate them onto the whiteboard.
I take all AP and honors classes. I welcome any resources or suggestions from students or parents. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. I am flexible with time, price, and content!
