My teaching methods are very visually based. I typically get my students to look at what they are reading/writing and break down the words they see. If there is a word they don’t understand I get them to tell what they think it is, and then look up the definition. If ind this helps best, but if the student doesn’t work that way, I get them to tell me their learning style, and adapt my teaching methods to suit their needs.
