I'm an undergraduate at Reed College studying comparative literature and French language with a background in tutoring at a local high school in subjects like English, history, and government. I'm looking to teach middle and high school students who need help with developing strategies for essay writing, in addition to working on skills like editing, grammar, and vocabulary. I tend to favor a more personal approach to tutoring that is more of a collaborative effort as opposed to traditional teacher-student models - I think students always have it within themselves to learn from doing - making mistakes and learning from them while having someone to guide you each step of the way is the path to success in writing.
