About Katt
Hello there! My name is Katt, and I am looking to help you with your college and high school essay papers!
Having been through the process of college admission during COVID, I have learned a thing or two about what they are looking for and what to watch out for. I have two younger sisters and I am constantly working with them on their essays, so I have experience with tutoring and looking at high school papers, even when I am a sophomore in college. Whatever you need, I can provide, and I promise I don't judge!

Teaching Methods:
I like to go paragraph by paragraph with students while keeping in mind the main idea of the essay. I don't like to just proof read the paper and fix it myself, I go through the paper with students and proofread with them. I gently point out mistakes and help them flourish through developing ways to avoid those mistakes in the future. Since I have experience with college writing and how professors look at college papers, I can give a first person perspective on what college admissions are looking for.
A typical lesson will be as long as the student needs, no more, no less (usually 1-2 hours for shorter essays, 3-4 for more than 5 pages). It will usually consist of me going paragraph by paragraph and talking with the student about the main idea, what they were trying to say, and how to avoid mistakes I find in the future. Sometimes, if the student needs help writing an essay, I will talk about the main idea and what they could possibly write about, as well as tips and tricks for extending the word count!
These lessons will mainly be for students looking for tutors regarding college admission essays and/or high school students in IB or AP classes. My lessons are open for any subject that needs essay writing, including, but not limited to: biology, physics, social studies, and creative writing english.
