About Rebekah
Hi! I’m an English tutor who works with elementary and middle school students. I enjoy helping students feel more confident in reading, writing, and grammar, especially when English feels frustrating or overwhelming.
I keep lessons relaxed and supportive while still making sure students are learning and improving. Everyone learns differently, so I adjust my approach based on what each student needs. Whether it’s extra help with homework, reading comprehension, or writing skills, I focus on making things clear and manageable.

My teaching method and techniques:
I focus on keeping lessons simple, supportive, and easy to follow. Every student learns differently, so I adjust how I explain things based on what works best for them. I break topics down step by step and use real examples to help ideas make sense. I try to create a comfortable space where students feel okay making mistakes and asking questions.
A typical lesson plan:
Lessons usually start with a quick check-in or review of what we worked on last time. Then we spend most of the lesson on one main skill, like reading, grammar, or writing. I explain the topic, we practice together, and then the student works through a few examples on their own with guidance. I end each lesson by reviewing what we learned and talking about what we’ll focus on next.
What sets me apart as a tutor:
I’m very patient and pay close attention to how each student learns. If something isn’t clicking, I explain it in a different way instead of rushing ahead. I care about building confidence just as much as improving skills, so students don’t feel stressed or discouraged during lessons.
