Providing constructive, detailed feedback on assignments and drafts is crucial. Instead of simply correcting mistakes, I explain the reasoning behind changes, fostering long-term improvement.
I teach students how to analyze and break down arguments, whether in their own writing or in reading assignments. My focus is not just on the "how" but also the "why" behind writing decisions and reading interpretations.
I would teach mostly middle schoolers and elementary kids, where it is important to shape their habits.
