About Imani
I am a psychology major from Detroit, Michigan. I am passionate about serving my community by changing the discriminatory attitudes accompanying mental health and helping young children focus on their healing and wellness. While practicing French as a second language, and as someone who values collectivism and diversity, I hope to serve an array of children, including indigenous cultures creating a significant change within black communities that prioritizes mental health and wellness in all aspects. I enjoy volunteering, trying new foods, and expanding my knowledge during my free time. After graduation, I plan to attend medical school, pursuing a career in psychiatry.
