About William
Hi, my name is Oliver, and I am a college senior studying Biology Neuroscience with plans to attend dental school after graduation. As a Division I athlete, former camp counselor, and resident assistant, I have developed strong communication, leadership, patience, and mentoring skills that help me connect well with students.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine academic discipline with patience and encouragement. Through athletics and leadership roles, I have learned the importance of consistency, accountability, and positive motivation. My experience working with younger students as a camp counselor has also helped me become approachable and supportive while maintaining structure during lessons.

My tutoring approach focuses on building confidence while making math understandable and less stressful. I believe students learn best when concepts are explained clearly, step-by-step, and in a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions. I aim to make lessons interactive and encouraging while adapting my teaching style to each student’s individual learning needs.
A typical lesson includes reviewing homework or current class topics, identifying areas of difficulty, practicing problems together, and reinforcing concepts through guided examples and repetition. I also help students develop stronger study habits, organization, and problem-solving strategies that can improve performance both inside and outside the classroom.
