About Charles
I am a teacher. It's why I am. I like to know stuff, and share it with anyone who will listen. I have taught students ranging from high schoolers to grandparents, in places ranging from churches to universities. I have three Master's degrees in literature and language, and I've taught at the college level for over a dozen years. Learning language skills can feel boring, but I find it fascinating, and I try to pass that on to my students. My mottos: "Everything is worth knowing"; and "It's all connected."

After a conversational assessment of the student, lessons are tailored to the student's needs, abilities, and background, with the goal of advancing their understanding of the subject, and not just their retention of facts.
