About Yolanda
I am a University student doing my degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management I want to become a teacher so that I can make a real difference in children's lives. I take the task of developing young people into kind, thoughtful and contributing adults very seriously. I have always been so grateful to my teachers and the educational system for making me the person that I am today. I only hope that I can make that same kind of positive impact on the minds and hearts of my students."

My teaching philosophy is to focus on building students’ independent study habits. I believe helping middle school students learn how to study independently now better prepares them for the demands of high school and college courses.
1. Visualization-Visualization is a great method to summarize or process information that has been taught in class. When students consume information through visual means, it helps them retain what they have learned for a longer time. This strategy also helps slow learners in class to visualize the ongoing lesson in a clear, simple and systematic way.
2. Student-Led Classroom-Student-led classrooms have become a creative way for teachers and students to interact and carry out discussions in the class.
Encouraging students to switch roles and become teachers for the day not only helps them in gaining confidence but also brings in a new perspective to the class.
3. Inquiry-based instruction-Encouraging students to ask thought-provoking questions is an effective teaching strategy that not only inspires your students to think practically but also become independent learners.
