About Katy
Hi! My name is Katy McKim and I am ready to teach everything from tumbling skills to simple leaps! I have been cheering since I was 5, and dancing here and there! I competed on an all-star cheer team in high school and competed at NCA Dallas, D2 Summit, and US finals. Now, I am cheering at Valparaiso University and competing in pageantry! I can't wait to share my knowledge with you!

Typical lesson plan:
-Evaluate current skills
-Establish goals (flexibility, tumbling, etc.)
-Work on the "Building blocks" (elements needed to complete the skill, such as flexibility and jumping for a leap, the approach for a leap, etc)
-Establish what can be worked on in a session and what can be worked on at home to maximize time in session (stretching, kick practice, etc: I will always be happy to help with these things, but I want us to always make use of the time you are paying for!)
-Put together those building blocks that we worked on to form our skill!
