About Rjpt
Hi. I am a full-time student at American Public University where I am studying business and science. I have multiple certifications to teach fitness and nutrition from NASM and ISSA. I also have an Associate of Science degree from Lionel University. While I am not sure what my final career will be, I know that I love teaching, and working with young people. I have experience tutoring in reading and math in my community. I also have worked as a swim instructor and boot camp instructor for all ages. I look forward to meeting my online students and always strive to make learning fun!

I am Coach Ryan and as with any skill, to learn it well you need to practice! Your pre-K to 1st grader will be reading in the first lesson! I will coach your child as he or she learns and practices the sounds and how to recognize and blend those sounds together to read words. Every lesson introduces 3 new sounds, new words with those sounds, and high-frequency sight words. Your child will practice these as he or she works to read a story with Coach Ryan and then independently. My goal is for your child to have fun reading! Each lesson ends with a fun game and homework of a story to be read between lessons. Reading is core to all other academics, so mastering it is going to help in all other subject areas.
