About Celia
I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Exeter and a masters degree in Clinical Psychology & Mental Heath from the University of Sussex. I have been teaching psychology for the past year and currently have spaces left to support more young people seeking extra guidance with a drive to boost your grades!
I have 3 years practical experience in mental health care provision in various organisations including the NHS. Currently I work as a coordinator within a mental health charity where I also provide Maths and English functional skills tutoring to help vulnerable young adults further their career path. Although I am happy to provide additional Maths and English support my passion is Psychology and my goal is to pass along the knowledge I have built to those following a similar path.

Each young person I support receives a different learning plan based on their level and particular needs.
The first session I provide is free; a chance for us to get to know each other and learn a little about what you hope to achieve from the sessions. I will carry out a short assessment to judge your level and we will discuss your syllabus and start putting together a learning plan.
Each week we will work through the topics we identify need most attention and find novel ways to increase your understanding. My sessions consist of discussions, online tasks via google classroom and longer writing tasks. I will also suggest reading material and useful online content such as videos. I usually set one piece of work to be completed independently each week if you are able to do so which will be reviewed at each following session.
Although I am very focused on helping you achieve the best grades possible I am also very aware of barriers and challenges that sometimes stop us from doing our best. I try my best to create a space where you can be open and honest and share whatever is on your mind. I will always accommodate any additional needs and stay sensitive to the personal well being of my students.
